Known as the stone of patience, Verdite is created by fine grains of silica being subjected to an intense amount of heat and pressure. The unique texture of Verdite makes it an ideal stone for carving. These pieces have been hand carved by local African artisans in the area of where the stone was mined. All the pieces are signed and dated by the artists.
